LEISURE TIME

It is The Student Welfare Organisation in Bodø's goal and responsibility to provide a positive relationship with leisure time for you as a student. To flourish and function as much as possible in a study environment it is important to also have a fun life outside of your studies.

Sport and training
Our co-ownership of Mørkvedhallen allow us to give students access to Mørkvedlia Idrettspark (training time in the sports hall and football pitch with Astro turf)

We co-own Friskhuset Mørkved AS whom offer training in their first class training studios in Mørkved and other Friskhuset studios in the city. Students are offered reasonable training rates with great terms and conditions.

The students bar lounge venue, Samfunnet is owned by The Student Welfare Organisation but run by the students themselves. Samfunnet is located on the campus and a natural meeting point for students. Samfunnet consists of a large hall with a brilliant and amazing concert stage, a bar lounge and a smaller hall.

Leisure activities available
The Student Welfare Organisation chooses to call their effort "that little bit extra" to provide students with positive leisure activities. The following offers are available

Student cabin
The Student Welfare Organisation's cabin is situated in the breathtaking nature surroundings of Salten fjord in Vågan. Rental: kr.250,- per day. The cabin has 6-8 bed spaces and includes use of the boat\motor belonging to the cabin.

Bicycles
The Student Welfare Organisation has six bicycles (ladies-, gents- and child bicycles) available for rent. The rental period is restricted to one week and costs kr.25,- per day

Scooters
The Student Welfare Organisation has three 50cc scooters available for rent at a rental rate of kr.150,- per day and kr.300,- for use over the weekend. The rental period is restricted to two days or one weekend. The rental price includes the use of a helmet.

Tent
We have two trail tents available (lightweight); one three person and one four person, free of charge

Hiking Boots
We have hiking boots at your disposal, free of charge

Fishing tackle
We have fishing rods and reels available, free of charge

Skiing
We have a wide assortment of skis, ski boots and ski poles at your disposal, free of charge

Sowing machines, irons and ironing boards
We have two sowing machine complete with pedals and under wire at your disposal, free of charge as well as irons and ironing boards
